Give Directly From Your IRA

Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs)

If you are age 70½ or older, you may be eligible to make a charitable gift directly from your Individual Retirement Account (IRA) to The Toby Keith Foundation.

Known as a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD), this type of gift allows you to support OK Kids Korral while potentially receiving valuable tax benefits.

A QCD may allow you to:

  • Make a charitable gift directly from your eligible IRA without including the qualifying distribution in your taxable income.
  • Satisfy all or part of your annual Required Minimum Distribution (RMD), if applicable.
  • Support a cause you care about without needing to itemize deductions.

For 2026, eligible individuals may make up to $111,000 in qualified charitable distributions annually. This limit is adjusted periodically for inflation.

How to Make an IRA Charitable Gift

Step 1: Contact Your IRA Administrator

Let your IRA custodian know you would like to make a Qualified Charitable Distribution to The Toby Keith Foundation.

Step 2: Request a Direct Transfer

Your IRA administrator will arrange for the gift to be transferred directly to the foundation. To qualify for the applicable tax treatment, the distribution must meet IRS requirements.

Step 3: Let Us Know About Your Gift

We would love the opportunity to thank you and ensure your gift is properly acknowledged.

Because IRA distributions sometimes arrive without identifying the donor, we encourage you to notify us when arranging your gift.
