Welcome to OK Kids Korral. We are glad you are staying with us at OK Kids Korral and hope your stay is comfortable. To ensure that each guest is as safe and comfortable as possible, it is vital that every guest in the house abides by the guidelines set forth.
You are living in a communal setting. Please be considerate of others in the Korral. Non-compliance of these guidelines may result in loss of OK Kids Korral services. Thank you.
The Korral staff will set an alarm at 10:00pm every night and it will be taken off at 6:30am. This is for the safety of everyone in the building. No one is able to come into the building or leave without prior approval from the staff person on duty.
All families must be checked into the house before 8pm on the day of arrival. Exceptions will be made if the guest contacts the Korral staff before 6pm to let them know details on arrival. Once you are at the Korral, the Guest Coordinator or House Parent will check you in to your room and give you a tour of the Korral. The Korral is free to any guest, but donations are welcome. If you wish to make a donation, you may do so via the donation box at the welcome desk or online at www.tobykeithfoundation.org. Due to fire safety codes, we can only permit a maximum of five guests in the overnight suites and two guests in the daytime suites.
Check out is from 8am – 1pm. Please leave the room in good order for the next family by completing the provided check out list. Please also complete the OK Kids Korral guest survey before your departure and leave it with the Coordinator or House Parent on duty.
If you leave a room for more than one day, you must check out. You may occupy a room at the Korral for 30 consecutive days. After 30 days, families must work with the Coordinator to do another check in as it will be considered another stay at the Korral. The Executive Director will decide if there are exceptions that must be made.
When a family calls to make a room request, it is not a reservation. We will only reserve rooms with 24 hours notice from a social worker. We will then notify the family that a room is available to them. If a family has stayed with us before and they need a room, again we request 24 hours notice. All families making their own reservations should call the Korral the day of their visit to ensure we have them on the schedule.
Quiet hours are to be observed between 10pm and 8am, 7 days a week.
All guests are required to sign out and sign in at the resident log located at the Welcome Desk area. It is important that the staff be able to locate you in the event a message needs to be relayed to you or in the event of an evacuation.
All guests should use the main stair case and elevator to go from floor to floor. No one should use the back staircases at any time unless there is an emergency in the house and it is the fastest exit.
